Make an ROV

Kids have the chance to build and drive a remote control sub.

Kids have the opportunity to learn about science and technology and how they are used in ocean exploration by building and testing a remotely operated vehicle, or ROV. Working in groups, the participants put together a simple mini-ROV with the help of an Aquarium educator. Then they submerge the device in a pool and give it a test-drive. This program is held daily in the Marine Life Theater. Check the schedule insert in the Aquarium Visitor Guide for times.
