Travel to the coldest, windiest, harshest, driest place on Earth with Linda McDermott, who worked at McMurdo and South Pole Stations in Antarctica during two recent summer seasons. In her lecture, McDermott will share historic, scientific, and environmental information about working and living in Antarctica, as well as stories of her unique experiences. McDermott worked as a human resources and finance specialist for Raytheon Polar Services Company, which supports the United States Antarctic Program and National Science Foundation efforts in Antarctica.
