Andrew Policano

This discussion will provide an inside look at the future of public universities in a world of declining tax payer support. Some of the key issues include who should pay for college, who should lead universities, whether tenure should be abolished, whether donors should play a more strategic role, and if distance education is the answer. Andrew J. Policano is former dean and professor emeritus of economics and public policy at The Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. After the lecture, Policano will sign copies of his book, From Ivory Tower to Glass House: Strategies for Academic Leaders During Turbulent Times.
