Art and science. Though they are often seen as complete opposites, the two fields have much in common. Join us for a members-only event in which we will explore how art and science can work together to protect and preserve the ocean.

The evening begins in our Ocean Theater with presentations by Aquarium President and CEO Jerry Schubel, Ph.D., and environmental artist Wyland. Afterwards enjoy coffee and light desserts while you will wait for your chance to meet and paint a mural with Wyland. You may also peruse Wyland’s original custom ink paintings for sale and decide to take one home with you.

Members will also be able to explore the Aquarium’s indoor galleries (without the usual summer crowds), watch Science on a Sphere demonstrations in our Ocean Science Center, and learn more about the Aquarium’s ocean conservation initiatives, such as Seafood for the Future.

Exhibition lighting will begin to dim at 8:30 p.m. to allow the animals a good night’s sleep.
