School Programs
Self-led Visits
Visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific can in itself be a fulfilling educational experience. We encourage you to visit the Aquarium for a free educator pre-visit tour. Due to space restrictions, there is limited availability for school groups. Advanced reservations are required. While exploring the Aquarium on your own, be sure to take advantage of some of these free educational experiences located throughout the Aquarium of the Pacific, in addition to our downloadable Scavenger Hunts.
Honda Theater
Need a place to relax and watch a fascinating film about one of the many residents of the Pacific Ocean? The Aquarium’s Honda Theater is just the place. With a capacity of 150, this theater shows short educational films throughout the day on a variety of topics, some of them are even free! Check the sign near the theater entrance for program listings and times.

Each one of our galleries (Tropical Pacific, Northern Pacific, and Southern California/Baja) contains a discovery lab full of interesting creatures native to that area. Join in the fun and learning as your students get up-close and personal with all sorts of amazing ocean inhabitants.
