Aquarium Education Program
Preschool Program: Little Snappers
Little Snappers
The focus of this class is turtles. Students will discover the unique qualities that turtles posses, from being cold-blooded and laying eggs to carrying a shell for protection on their back. Students will reenact the process of hatching out of an egg and crawling to sea just like sea turtle hatchlings would. Participants will learn the subtle differences between tortoises and sea turtles. Students will take home a turtle craft they have colored and put together themselves.
Preschool Programs are designed for young children to independently explore marine life. Each class offers hands-on animal touch time, a craft project, story time, Aquarium animal observation, a snack, and activities relating to the topic.
