Aquarium Education Program

Preschool Program: Shining Stars

Shinning Stars
How do sea stars see? What do sea stars eat? Do they sleep? We will answer these and many other interesting questions about the sea stars living in our tidepools. Students will become scientists and investigate the body of sea stars, learning all the details from a special guest speaker, a costumed sea star!  Participants will dive into the Northern Pacific Gallery to see and touch these shining stars. Students will decorate their own sea star craft complete with tube feet to take home!

Preschool Programs are designed for young children to independently explore marine life. Each class offers hands-on animal touch time, a craft project, story time, Aquarium animal observation, a snack, and activities relating to the topic.
