Foster a love for the ocean in your four- to five-year-old child in our series of preschool programs designed to keep even the wiggliest child engaged and entertained.

Each 2-hour class allows children to explore and learn about marine life independently from their parent through games, crafts, tours, snack, animal touch time, and more.

Silly Seals and Sea Lions:

Dive into the kelp forest home of seals and sea lions as we explore their similarities and differences. Discover which animal barks and which animal crawls on its belly in this preschool program. During this 2-hour program your four- to five-year-old child will:

• Find out the five characteristics that mammals share
• Learn the differences between seals and sea lions
• Do an experiment to feel the insulating properties of blubber
• Take a guided tour of the Southern California gallery
• Run through an obstacle course to understand how seals and sea lions move
• Touch animals in our private classroom touch pool
• Make their own sea lion headband to wear home
• Enjoy a snack of goldfish crackers and juice
