Aquarium Education Program
Preschool Program: Puffins and Pals
Puffins and Pals
This class describes what makes birds different from other animals. Students will explore the great adaptations sea birds have to stay warm and dry, to swim as well as to fly, and to catch their favorite food- slippery fish. Participants will engage in activities to learn what it is like to be a bird, enjoy a tour of the Northern Pacific Gallery to observe our puffins, as well as get to touch some live animals. Students will make some crafty bird watching binoculars to continue their investigation of their feathered friends at home.
Preschool Programs are designed for young children to independently explore marine life. Each class offers hands-on animal touch time, a craft project, story time, Aquarium animal observation, a snack, and activities relating to the topic.
