Aquarium Education Program

Preschool Program: Jiggling Jellies

Jiggling Jellies
Have you ever jiggled like a sea jelly? Come explore the Pacific Ocean in search of these rainbows of the sea! Students will discover the unique world of the jelly; what they eat, what eats them, what color they are, what body parts they have, as well as a hands on experiment to see how jellies move. Participants will view live jellies and other inhabitants of the Southern California/Baja Gallery. Students will have the opportunity to touch some of the sea jellies’ relatives as well. Learn all about these squishy creatures and even make one to take home.

Preschool Programs are designed for young children to independently explore marine life. Each class offers hands-on animal touch time, a craft project, story time, Aquarium animal observation, a snack, and activities relating to the topic.
