Aquarium of the Pacific

This program focuses on the amazing colorful coral creatures.

Foster a love for the ocean in your four- to five-year-old child in our series of preschool programs designed to keep even the wiggliest child engaged and entertained.

Each 2-hour class allows children to explore and learn about marine life independently from their parent through games, crafts, tours, snack, animal touch time, and more.

Please note that this is a child only program. If you are interested in joining your preschool child in a class, please see our Saturday Family Fun programs.

Colorful Corals:

Corals reefs are alive with vibrant colors and bright beautiful fish. If you look a little closer, you will see that the coral itself, is also alive. During this 2-hour program your four- to five-year-old child will:

• Venture out on an imaginary snorkel trip in search of coral reef residents
• Closely examine coral skeletons to see where the tiny coral animal once lived
• Take a guided tour of the Tropical Pacific gallery
• Make their own tissue paper coral reef scene to take home
• Learn about coral reef conservation
• Touch animals in our private classroom touch pools
• Enjoy a snack of goldfish crackers and juice
