Ocean Adventure Day Camp 2

A summer ocean adventure awaits!

Join us as we explore the Pacific ocean and its inhabitants during our weeklong summer day camp adventures for kids in grades 2-4.

In this camp, participants will explore marine life and habitats through games, activities, tours, behind the scenes interactions, crafts, animal touch time, and more. Participants will note their experiences throughout the week in a keepsake journal. Each week will discuss sharks, fish, marine mammals, invertebrates, and a marine habitat. 

Week 2 will cover the following topics (subject to change without notice):
Monday:  a.m. Tidepools; p.m. Fish of Southern California
Tuesday:  a.m. Otters: Prey and hunting; p.m. Sharks: Sea Kraits and Sea Turtles
Wednesday:  a.m. Sharks: Teeth and prey; p.m. Sharks: Mammals: Whales and Migrations
Thursday:  a.m. Water; p.m. Sharks: Internal Anatomy
Friday:  a.m. Cephalopods: Squid Life Cycle; p.m. Plankton

Full-day schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Half-day schedules: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*Pre-registration required.  This day camp is for children only.

Camp includes the following:

  • Aquarium animal viewing
  • Animal touch
  • Activities and/or experiments related to the topic
  • Biofact discovery touch
  • Behind the scenes animal observation
  • Games
  • Day Camp Journal
  • Daily Craft

Not included:

  • Snack (Parents: please include one snack for your child for 1/2 day, 2 snacks for full day)
  • Lunch (Parents: please include lunch for full day)


Due to behind-the-scenes access and game time, we ask that your child wear comfortable closed-toe shoes everyday. Please avoid sandals and flip-flops.
