Aquarium Education Program

Job Shadow: Aviculturist

Shadow our talented aviculture staff and see what it takes to run our successful bird exhibits here at the Aquarium.

Help prepare food for the diving birds and maintain their exhibit. The bright and beautiful birds of our Lorikeet Forest will also take center stage as participants help care for our exotic bird collection.

These classes are designed for the students in grades 7-12 interested in a career in marine science.  Students will roll up their sleeves and get some hands-on experience on what it takes to be an aviculturist.  This series of three-hour classes typically runs the first Saturday of every month.

Participants must wear closed-toe shoes for behind the scenes access!
