Aquarium Education Program

Career Explorers

The Aquarium is proud to offer a series of programs designed for youth groups such as scout and brownie troops.

Each 2-hour program includes theme related activities, a guided tour, and animal touch time. Upon completion, Aquarium patches are available for participants for just $1.

Career Explorers:

Designed to give eight- to thirteen-year-olds a first look into the field of marine biology, Career Explorers takes a fun game show style approach to learning about the diverse job market for ocean lovers. During this 2-hour program, your group will:

  • Play our unique “Career Smarts” game show that includes audience participation and activities
  • Touch animals in our private classroom touch pools
  • Take a guided behind-the-scenes tour to look at many of the jobs, equipment and animals that were discussed in the program (participants must be over 7-years-old to go behind-the-scenes)
  • Feed animals behind-the-scenes with one of our animal care staff*

*The Aquarium reserves the right to change the animal interactions without notice due to animal safety, exhibit maintenance, or animal health reasons.

Availability: Pre-registration is required and the classes are available Saturdays from 1:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
