Breakfast Lorikeet Forest-Tiny Planet - popup

Hugh Aquarium Views Video Number 76

Before the Aquarium of the Pacific opens in the morning, aviculturists and their volunteers are already hard at work in Lorikeet Forest taking care of the friendly birds. They prepare a cafeteria style breakfast for the lorikeets, clean their habitat, and look after their other needs.

One of the benefits of this early morning ritual for the staff is watching and being part of the socialization of the lorikeets. They essentially become one of the flock and are allowed an inside look at the social antics of these unique avians.

Check out the video of a morning in Lorikeet Forest and then come on down to Long Beach and experience these little birds for yourself, up close and personal.
