FROM A SEA LION’S POINT OF VIEW

With the enthusiasm that Milo the Sea Lion has for his camera ring he sort of reminds me of a Golden Retriever with a favorite tennis ball.

Milo the sea lion really seems to enjoy playing with his camera ring that allows him to become a fine, flippered photographer. When I bring the sea lion-cam rig out during a training session his eyes sort of light up with an enthusiastic glow. He can’t wait to get started retrieving and carrying the rig around the exhibit. He reminds me of a Golden Retriever with a favorite tennis ball. And I have to admit that this high energy sea lion activity is also a lot of fun for me too. Its also kind of cool to see the pinniped exhibit and underwater visitors tunnel from a sea lion’s perspective.
