Ollie the sea otter celebrated her ninth birthday this month which means that I’ve had 9 wonderful years of watching Ollie being Ollie. As a special treat, this week I am sharing the sights and sounds of the then Little Orphan Ollie’s first week at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
The video starts with Ollie receiving a new toy for her ninth birthday. It then transitions back in time to 2010 during Ollie’s first week at the aquarium. Yes, that is me being a proud “Otter Pop” with the then tiny otter. What I remember most about Ollie first week are her different cries depending on what was going on. There is her “I am here cry”, her “Where did you go?” cry and her “I’m getting comfy and sleepy” cry. Check out the video to hear these cries for yourself.
