What they said was Grunt Sculpin but what I heard at first was “Grunge” Sculpin. When I took a closer look at the fish I thought to myself that it does look a little grungy in a hipster sort of way.

A Garden Under the Sea | In Focus

When you visit the Aquarium, one of the first exhibits to catch your eye is Tropical Pacific Preview. This exhibit transports you to a shallow reef where brightly colored corals pop against a plain backdrop, while a royal blue tang fish weaves in and out of the water.

Target-Training a Shark | Hugh

Training a shark to participate in its own husbandry care.
How do you get a nearly 8 foot long free swimming shark out of the water for a checkup? With a sea lion or sea otter the animal can be trained to get into a transport kennel when asked. Nicky, an Aquarium of the Pacific aquarist, decided to train Fern the Zebra Shark to willingly swim onto a transport stretcher using the same training techniques used to train marine mammals.

We Have Clownfish Babies!!! | Retired | David

For the first time in the Aquarium’s history, we have successfully bred pink skunk clownfish,Amphiprion perideraion. This amazing achievement was the product of two years of intense work by the dedicated aquarist staff. We hope to put the babies on display soon for the world to see.
