American Goldeneyes Land at the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Two female and two male American Goldeneyes, (Bucephala clangula Americana) now in quarantine, are destined for the Shorebird Sanctuary ecosystem sometime in January 2008.

German Guests Get Private Tour

Through my blog, I met two of the nicest people, who came from Germany to visit Long Beach for two days before embarking on a cruise to Mexico and Puerto Rico. The day ended with a $20 donation to the Aquarium of the Pacific’s education department.

A Day Full of New and Unusual Experiences

The Aquarium got a visit from some cool (literally) birds as I fed some bat rays and collected plankton straight from the ocean! This doesn’t happen much at all, so I was quite excited.

The Holiday “Sea"son Is In Full Swing!

Well, that festive time of year is once again upon us!  This time of year is always full of all kinds of celebration and fun, and the holiday season at the Aquarium is no exception.  Decorations recently started popping up everywhere, and not just for us humans.  Even the animals are getting in on the act!

There’s More Than You Think
