Hi, whale fans! As I write this, I am thinking about all the amazing blog posts and photos and stories I have written about these last few years. Alas, this will be my last blog post, since I am growing a human, and she will be arriving very soon! But, I wanted to go out with a bang! So what does a person who spends every weekend for 18 years hanging around the sea otters at the Aquarium of the Pacific and has been the “Otter Pop” to orphan pups do for a vacation? Why he goes up to Monterey Bay and watches wild sea otters for a week, of course.

Betty and Chloe Hugh's Aquarium Views 10
These sea otter youngsters were born less than a year apart. They weigh about the same and have the same coat coloration. They look like identical twins. It’s actually pretty difficult at times telling Betty and Chloe apart. So how do the folks that work with them know who is who?
