Floyd and Roxy Have a Chick | Hugh
The Penguin Soap Opera Continues
The Penguin love triangle that involved the fair maiden from Brazil, the old veteran from San Diego and the young stud from San Francisco has produced a couple of cute chicks. It has also produced a strange twist in the Penguin Soap Opera in the June Keyes Penguin Exhibit.

Lunge Feeding Frenzies! | Julien
So far, August has not disappointed as one of our best months to see blue whales! Not only are we seeing the blues but we are seeing them feeding on krill at the surface. This type of behavior is
called surface lunge feeding and it makes for a pretty memorable experience as a guest on board and even for us educators! Read on to hear more about our blue whale stories.

Harpo: the Charismatic Raspberry-blowing Sea Lion | Hugh
As I was leaving the exhibit after a recent pinniped presentation a little kid excitedly ran up to me just say “I like your seal the best!” The “seal” I was working with that day was Harpo the Sea Lion. This charismatic raspberry-blowing member of the species Zalophus californianus had made another fan!

Tons of Blues and Other Marine Life Too! | Julien
We kicked off our July with spectacular whale sightings and it has only been getting better! We have been seeing at least three blue whales per trip and even fin whales and minkes as well! In the month of July we had NINTEY-FOUR blue whale sightings alone! Keep reading to find out more!
