A Little Seal in a Big Exhibit
It was nervous time for this marine mammal volunteer as I came in for my Saturday shift. Bixby, the daughter of harbor seals Shelby and Troy, was reintroduced to the seal and sea lion exhibit just a few days earlier.

According to physics there are clear scientific reasons why penguins CAN’T fly. But according to Avery the Penguin there are several practical reason why penguins WON’T fly.

The Critters of Summer
As we enter the Dog Days Of Summer I’d like to share a few images of some of the critters at the Aquarium of the Pacific. From a pair of Sea Otters enjoying snowballs made of ice to a young Harbor Seal floating weightless just under the surface of the water there are many images that say its summertime for these Critters of Summer.
