Parties are loads of fun, especially when they involve the Aquarium of the Pacific. The 10th Anniversary All-Staff Party was quite a shindig for volunteers and staff, and you can win an incredible Aquarium slumber party when you party like a sea star!

The ABC’s of Filtration at the Aquarium | Staci
Whether you’re maintaining an exhibit that holds 200 gallons or 200,000 gallons, filtration is an integral part of any successful man-made marine habitat. Recently, I mentioned that the Aquarium filters approximately 1,000,000 gallons of salt water per hour to support over 12,000 marine residents. Why is filtration necessary? Fortunately, the Education Department provided me with a wealth of information on filtration practices in effect at the Aquarium of the Pacific that I would love to share with you!

This June 20th is the tenth anniversary of the Grand Opening of the Aquarium of the Pacific back in 1998. However, this June 6th is my ten year anniversary of the day that I started volunteering at the Aquarium. To commemorate my anniversary day, this week’s blog is about my top ten Aquarium memories and experiences.
